Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Carpenter’s Assistant / General Construction Laborer to work alongside an experienced contractor on residential construction and renovation projects.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing quality work, and is eager to learn and expand their skills in the construction industry.
Duties
- Assist with general carpentry projects
- Interior and exterior painting
- Perform general labor tasks, including loading and unloading materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Assist with demolition, framing, trim work, and basic repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team
- Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and to a high standard
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Previous construction, carpentry, painting, or general labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to arrive on time and work independently when needed
- Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques and procedures
