Experienced Garage Door Installer for Residential/Light Commercial
We are a small business started in 2008 in the East Valley. We are looking for a motivated, experienced, friendly, and technologically savvy garage door professional. This position is for a full-time garage door installer and includes traveling to customer's homes/businesses and selling, repairing, and installing garage doors, openers and parts. This position is commission based, 30-60 hours/week (depending on your speed and the volume of calls) including drive time. Pay is between $8000-$2,500+ a week. We are looking for an individual that will deliver the highest level of customer service and is willing to go the extra mile on every job. We would love to shake-up and diversify the technicians in the industry.
· Competitive uncapped commission $800-$2,500+ per week
· Company Truck with Gas (After Training)
· All Supplies Necessary For Jobs Including But Not Limited To: Over Height Ladders, Trailers, Heavy Tools When Needed (Basic Tools Will Need To Be Supplied By Technician), Fasteners, Lube, Materials, Generator & Welder When Necessary
Position Details:
· Install Pre-Sold Garage Doors and Motors
· Inspect garage doors, motors, and related components; diagnose problems; replace or repair parts; install new doors; test and adjust; and document all recommended and completed repairs per company policy
· Educate customer on garage door, suggest repairs, complete repairs & collect payment
· Install/service garage doors & motors using appropriate tools, hardware, and equipment.
· Use tablets pre-loaded with pricing products and services for Quotes, Invoices, Payment, Customer Contact, & Scheduling. Must be able to use a tablet and make notes on all jobs, & Call Customers on Tablet
· Company is a Valley Wide 24/6 Business, Closed Sundays
· Our Installers typically work Monday through Friday 7 am to 5pm
· Maintain Parts Inventory on Truck including your tools for service and installation
Position Requirements:
· Must 21+, have a Valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving History (5-7 Years). We must be able to insure you.
· Must be able to pass a Mid-Level Background Check
· Must Have Own Hand and Power Tools in good working condition
· Must be well groomed and maintain a neat appearance
· A Strong Attendance Record & Punctual
· Strong computer skills be able to quickly learn new software and be comfortable working on a tablet
· Strive to increase knowledge of the product offering, and keep current on all new products, features & accessories
· Must be Authorized to work in the US for any employer
· Minimum 1-year of Residential Installation & Service
· Minimum 1-year experience installing commercial garage doors & gates (preferred)
· Mechanical aptitude, including skill in using a variety of hand and power tools, accurately reading a tape measure, and interpreting equipment manuals
· Physically able to move items weighing 80-150 lbs. and the ability to bend, climb, reach, kneel, etc. for extended periods, working on ladders at varying heights
· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
· Review Work Order information for accuracy and completeness
· Must be able to work in extreme environments (example: Hot Garages, Cold, in the Sun etc.)
