Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant/Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to enrich the lives of residents in a senior living environment. Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities and resident events tailored to diverse interests and abilities.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, hygiene, and personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Develop individualized activity plans that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, and physical activity for residents with memory care needs or disabilities.
- Build strong rapport with residents by engaging in meaningful conversations and understanding their personal histories and preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment that encourages participation and fosters community spirit.
- Assist with schedule management for daily activities, ensuring smooth transitions and timely execution of planned events.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with geriatric patients, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring memory care is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care principles, Alzheimer's disease progression, and aging issues counseling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with residents while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Pay: $9.00 - $10.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
