Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (in-office)
Compensation: $30–$33 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits

We are looking for an experienced paralegal who enjoys taking ownership of their work, values accuracy, communicates professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced practice.
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a substantive paralegal position, not a traditional legal assistant role. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing the day-to-day progress of assigned matters while working closely with the attorneys.
We are looking for someone who carefully reviews their work, communicates effectively, anticipates next steps, and takes pride in independently keeping files moving.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years of paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong proofreading and document review abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and compassionate client service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn legal software quickly.
- Experience with Clio, Asana, and Google Workspace is preferred but not required.
- Experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianship, or elder law is preferred but not required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Case Management
- Take ownership of assigned case files from opening through completion.
- Track deadlines and proactively move matters forward.
- Review files regularly to identify missing information, outstanding tasks, or issues requiring attorney attention.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files.
- Keep attorneys informed of significant developments and unresolved issues.
Drafting and Legal Support
- Draft estate planning documents, probate pleadings, guardianship documents, deeds, correspondence, and related legal documents.
- Prepare documents for court filing and assist with the filing process.
- Review drafted documents carefully for accuracy, completeness, formatting, grammar, and consistency before attorney review.
- Prepare final signing copies and assist with the execution of documents.
- Support attorneys with estate planning, probate, trust administration, guardianship, and elder law matters.
Client Communication
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients by phone, email, and in person.
- Provide updates, obtain requested information, schedule appointments, and answer appropriate procedural questions.
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and professionalism in all communications.
- Help ensure clients feel informed and supported throughout the legal process.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain organized electronic files.
- Scan, upload, label, and organize incoming documents.
- Assist with witnessing and coordinating document signings.
- Return phone calls and provide occasional backup reception coverage as needed.
- Perform other administrative or legal support tasks as assigned.
