We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated part-time Assistant Manager to join our team in a dynamic café environment. Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their orders.
- Operate the cash register accurately, processing transactions and handling cash responsibly.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Assist manager with tracking sales inventory.
- Assist manager with supply reordering by keeping manager up-to-date on ingredient supplies from various vendors.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at the counter and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, demonstrating culinary skills while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
- Oversee team members to maintain an organized workspace and support overall café operations.
Qualifications
- Previous mangerial experience in a retail setting.
- Previous experience in a grocery store, café, or similar food service environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and basic sales techniques..
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- A team-oriented attitude with a willingness to help colleagues when needed.
