Lead Oncology Pharmacist Responsibilities
As the Lead Oncology Clinical Pharmacist, you will:
- Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services for complex oncology therapies
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Support safe and effective chemotherapy treatment plans
- Oversee oncology IV compounding and infusion pharmacy operations
- Ensure compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> standards
- Promote medication safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
- Guide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians through mentorship and clinical expertise
- Partner with Cancer Center leadership to improve workflows and patient care delivery
- Participate in oncology pharmacy initiatives, committees, and process improvement projects
Clinic volume:
Monday–Thursday
- Approximately 80–85 compounded preparations daily
- Approximately 30–45 oncology patients daily
Friday
- Approximately 40 compounded preparations daily
- Approximately 15–20 oncology patients daily

Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- Oncology pharmacy experience, preferably in an infusion center, cancer center, or ambulatory oncology setting
Preferred:
- Experience with chemotherapy workflows
- Knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> compliance standards
