Position Summary:
Danbury High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Coach for the fall season. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of student-athletes both athletically and academically, while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive school culture.
Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and implement game strategies

Teach fundamental soccer skills and promote player development

Support and align with the Varsity program philosophy

Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team events
-
Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and academic accountability
-
Maintain communication with players, families, and athletic department staff
-
Ensure compliance with all district, conference, and CIAC regulations
-
Assist with equipment management and program organization
Qualifications:
-
Must possess CT teaching certification with Coaching Permit preferred, or Coaching Certification
-
Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certifications
-
Must complete Module 15 – Concussion Management
-
Knowledge of and/or experience in soccer preferred
-
Previous coaching experience at the high school or youth level preferred

Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, staff, and families
Working Conditions:

Fall athletic season commitment

Approximately 180 hours
-
Compensation: $20.82 per hour
