Overview
As a Refrigeration and HVAC Technician, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of refrigeration and HVAC systems in a restaurant setting. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems across various restaurants, contributing to safe and reliable environments for our team and guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for motivated technicians with construction, service experience, and technical skills to excel in a dynamic field.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration units (walk-ins and reach-ins), HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment in commercial settings.
- Perform electrical diagnostics, plumbing repairs, and mechanical systems repair to ensure seamless operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration units and air conditioning equipment to prevent failures.
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults or mechanical malfunctions.
- Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing necessary certifications.
- Support property maintenance tasks including appliance repair, HVAC/R system upgrades, and building automation system adjustments.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction or service technician roles specializing in HVAC or refrigeration systems.
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and mechanical systems repair.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and building automation systems for efficient system management.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and handling refrigerants per EPA standards.
- EPA Certified
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, air conditioning units, property maintenance equipment, and appliance repair.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Clean criminal background check
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with field service operations including equipment repair and maintenance in diverse environments.
