Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Administer and monitor respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
- Assess patient respiratory status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, breathing techniques, and equipment use.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current state license (or eligibility to obtain one before start).
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred if applicable).
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience.
