Overview:
The Residential Mortgage Loan Processor will provide exceptional customer service to all potential Residential Mortgage customers by treating their loan application with the upmost importance. They will strive to achieve a Clear to Close in the minimal amount of time while keeping accuracies. The Residential Mortgage Loan Processor will also assist the Mortgage Lender so they can maintain a steady amount of sales calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- The main function of the Residential Mortgage Loan Processor is to complete all necessary data input into the loan documentation software in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements
- Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with company policies as well as federal and state regulations
- Loan processors are responsible for the accuracy of their documents which includes proper spelling, referencing appropriate collateral and attention to detail regarding supporting file documentation
- Prepare new loan documentation requests and meet crucial deadlines using the current documentation software primarily for closing disclosure and back up for initial and re-disclosures. Involves gathering information, requesting additional documentation and performing research depending on the complexity – the processing checklists are to be used as a tracking sheet and guide for processing the file
- Verify loan file documentation including by not limited to the following: clear title work, proper insurance is in the file and property taxes have been paid for all pieces of collateral
- Responsible for post-closing items of loans, including by not limited to: inputting loan onto core system, funding, preparing file and documents for barcoding and scanning. Verify information using file organization checklists.
