About the Position
Mountain Temp Services is seeking an experienced Traffic Control Supervisor to oversee traffic control operations on construction and roadway projects throughout the Denver Metro area. This leadership role is responsible for supervising field crews, ensuring work zones are set up safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations, and maintaining excellent communication with customers and project teams.
We're looking for a dependable leader who is safety-focused, organized, and experienced in managing traffic control crews in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of flaggers and traffic control crews.
- Ensure all traffic control devices are installed, maintained, and removed according to approved traffic control plans.
- Conduct job site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, MUTCD, ATSSA, CDOT, and company safety standards.
- Coordinate daily schedules, assignments, and staffing needs.
- Train, mentor, and support field employees.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and customers.
- Complete daily reports, documentation, and safety inspections.
- Respond to changing job site conditions and make adjustments as needed.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all employees follow company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of traffic control experience, including supervisory or crew lead experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Current ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), Traffic Control Technician (TCT), or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, CDOT, and OSHA traffic control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
