The ideal candidate for these positions has high school diploma or GED and prior relevant experience is preferred. He or she must work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays and must have the physical stamina to perform the duties of this position. Basic English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
The housekeeper maintains the outstanding cleanliness of the entire facility, with particular attention to the guest rooms and any high traffic areas, and provides first-class customer service to our guests. He or she helps maintain a spotless appearance that exceeds customer expectations through regular, safe, thorough, and systematic housekeeping duties following company policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have knowledge of the hotel facilities.
- Cleans and services assigned guest rooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards.
- Reports needed repairs of unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Reports appropriate complaints or requests to appropriate department. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintains linen cart and supplies neat and organized to department standards.
- Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
- Reports lost and found articles to supervisor.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
Responsibilities
- Cleans rooms as assigned, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
- Replenishes supplies for each room, including clean towels, tissue, soap, water glasses, etc.
- Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies
- Completes any reports or logs
- Reports equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor
- Responds to all guest and staff needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
- Excellent customer service focus
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
