Job Description:
- Major goal of the Quality Assurance Department is to assist hospital staff in improving the quality of care provided to our patients.
- The goal is to assist with coordinating hospital-wide Performance Improvement functions.
- Maintain knowledge in Quality and performance improvement initiatives
- Assists in the monitoring of the Q.A./ reports to identify patterns, trends, unresolved problems, and the effectiveness of improvement activities.
- Analyzes quality data and reports to supervisor
- Maintains current knowledge on changes and new standards, and provides assistance to the leader on issues related to:
- Planning the process of improvement,
- Assisting in assessing the performance systematically.
- Assisting in implementing performance improvements
- Reviews clinical records as necessary.
- Reviews collected data and completes necessary follow up.
- Reports findings in a timely manner to the Director
- Interviews and educates unit staff regarding new methodology
- Prepares for and participates in the coordination of surveys of external bodies if assigned
- Assists in monitoring the hospitals compliance with standards
