Job Description:
A well-established law firm located in New York City is seeking a mid-level litigation associate to join our team of highly skilled litigators. Position and Key Responsibilities:
You will handle complex cases for established clients, with the opportunity to work on diverse high-quality matters. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of substantive litigation experience, with a strong background in commercial real estate and business disputes, and ideally some experience in condo and co-op issues. You will be expected to play a key role in all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution, including handling complex motion practice, managing discovery, conducting and defending depositions, preparing for and conducting trials, preparing and arguing appeals, and participating in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of solid litigation experience
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Detail-oriented
- Proven ability to handle multiple matters and work independently
- Admission to the New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus
Compensation:
Base salary of $170,000 - $210,000 per year commensurate with experience. You will be eligible for performance-based bonuses, including “win” bonuses and additional compensation for business development. You will also be eligible for generous medical and other benefits.
