Job Summary
We are seeking an Instructor to join our team! You will be facilitating a classroom, following the agreed-upon class schedule, participating in student discussion boards, and responding to student questions or issues in a timely manner. You will also be grading classwork and providing feedback to help students understand their course materials, address upcoming concerns for students, and ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed. The ideal candidate has a background in education or teaching, has strong communication skills, and can cultivate a positive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Maintain prewritten course schedule and timelines
- Grade homework and provide constructive feedback to students
- Participate in classroom discussions
- Answer student questions to the best of your ability, helping students work through problems and find solutions
- Cultivate a positive learning environment for students
- Build relationships with local medical/healthcare establishments for student externship and placement.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in medical assisting/health science/LVN
- Previous experience in a teaching position desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to multitask, and shift priorities as needed
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and grading systems
