Responsibilities
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
- Successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Negative TB test and/or proof of current tuberculosis screening, as required.
- Current health records, including immunizations, as required by state regulations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward clients.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, and reposition clients (up to 50 pounds or more with assistance when necessary).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and proper body mechanics.
- Ability to accurately document patient care and report changes in condition.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Willingness to complete required orientation, annual in-service training, and continuing education to maintain certification. Federal rules require completion of a state-approved CNA training program and placement on the state nurse aide registry, with states often imposing additional requirements.
Experience
- Prior experience in medical office settings or outpatient clinics is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience and medical documentation practices.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Caregiver/Home Care Aide, Home Health Aide, Medication Aide/Technician or Companion/Sitter.
- Experience supporting various specialties such as internal medicine, surgical units, or emergency medicine enhances your versatility
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) or other relevant healthcare certifications is strongly recommended

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
