Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Instructor who will be passionate about education, possess strong leadership skills, and have a deep understanding of the field of diagnostic medical sonography and cardiovascular sonography.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Sonography, Healthcare Administration, or a related field/ successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound program.
RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) credentials preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular sonography, with at least 2 years hands on teaching experience.
General understanding of program development, curriculum design, and accreditation processes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in healthcare education and workforce development.
Knowledge of documenting, assessing, and evaluating student learning outcomes.
Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Proficiency in educational technology and instructional design methodologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer information and internet literacy.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle difficult and sensitive issues and problems and resolve conflicts.

Essential Duties:
Lead the development and implementation of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography program
Impact curriculum, course materials, and program policies in accordance with accreditation standards and industry best practices.
Provide leadership and mentorship to faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Deliver engaging and effective instruction in sonography courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and facilitate student understanding.
Oversee retention efforts to ensure outcome targets are met.
Oversee clinical education experiences for sonography students, including coordinating placements, monitoring student progress, and providing guidance to ensure compliance with clinical requirements.
Coordinate with industry partners, healthcare facilities, and professional organizations to facilitate clinical placements and experiential learning opportunities for students.
Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes and program effectiveness, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Provide academic advising, counseling, and support services to students, assisting them in achieving their educational and career goals in the field of sonography
Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards, and lead efforts for program accreditation and reaccreditation.
Collaborate with academic leadership and other departments to integrate the program into the overall educational mission of the institution.
Stay abreast of developments and advancements in the field of diagnostic medical sonography and cardiovascular sonography and incorporate relevant updates into the program curriculum.
