We are hiring a dependable Weekend Overnight Security Officer to safeguard assigned buildings, equipment, facilities, and property against unauthorized entry, damage, loss, or safety concerns.
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday nights
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Location: Saint Petersburg, FL 33713
Work Location: In person
Training: Candidate may need to train for one week on a different shift, depending on department needs.
Responsibilities
- Patrol the inside and outside of buildings, facilities, or designated areas
- Monitor for unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, fire hazards, illegally parked vehicles, property damage, or other safety concerns
- Enforce rules and regulations related to the safeguarding of assigned facilities
- Make routine rounds to help maintain peace, safety, and adherence to the code of conduct
- Prepare and maintain routine records, logs, and reports
- Report incidents, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or contact
- Remain alert and professional throughout the overnight shift
Requirements
- Must have a valid Florida Class D Security License
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license
- Ability to work Saturday and Sunday nights from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Ability to remain alert during overnight shifts
- Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work independently and follow site procedures
- Ability to prepare basic records and reports
- Prior security experience preferred
