We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for helping maintain the overall condition, safety, and appearance of the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas, mechanical systems, and exterior spaces.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate should also be willing to be on call for urgent maintenance issues or emergencies that may arise outside of regular business hours.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, and exterior spaces.
Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and mechanical issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, appliances, refrigeration equipment, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other building systems.
Inspect rooms and equipment to identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management, front desk staff, housekeeping, and guests.
Be available for on-call emergency maintenance situations, including urgent guest room, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or property-related issues outside of regular business hours.
Assist with minor carpentry, painting, drywall repair, furniture repair, and general property upkeep.
Install or replace appliances, fixtures, lighting, hardware, filters, and other equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate records of completed work, repairs, inspections, and maintenance needs.
Assist with seasonal property projects, renovations, and upgrades when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures when using tools, equipment, and materials.
Qualifications
Previous maintenance, handyman, hotel, property management, or building maintenance experience preferred.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
Experience with tools, equipment, and basic repair materials.
Ability to lift, bend, climb stairs, work in tight spaces, and perform physical tasks safely.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, well-kept property.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Professional attitude when working around guests and staff.
Willingness to be on call for emergency maintenance needs outside of regular working hours.
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or construction experience is a plus.
Schedule
Full-time or part-time availability may be considered. Weekend availability may be required based on hotel needs. On-call availability for emergency maintenance situations is required.
