American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry certification.

Works in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 426-bed, short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System

Level II Trauma Center setting

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating required as needed
-
Charting via Epic
-
Free parking available on-site

Active RN license — CT state license or Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Telemetry (Tele) certification required

Must pass an EKG/Telemetry exam prior to starting

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler

Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility

Flu vaccine is required — declinations are not accepted

COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted
