Location: Philadelphia, PA (19136)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:20 PM. Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required for emergency repairs, scheduled maintenance, equipment installations, or facility projects.
Starting Pay: $20/hour (Entry Level)

Summary
The Facilities and Maintenance Support role supports the maintenance, repair, and improvement of DeVal's buildings, grounds, utilities, and support equipment. Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, this hourly position performs preventative maintenance, responds to facility issues, assists with equipment installations, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and efficient manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and facility equipment.
- Assist with and perform basic general building repairs involving lighting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and compressed-air systems within the employee’s training and authorization.
- Maintain buildings, grounds, parking areas, and facility infrastructure.
- Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and facility improvements.
- Perform scheduled cleaning and preventative maintenance of CNC machines during weekend shutdowns, as assigned.
- Complete work orders and maintain maintenance records.
- Support safety inspections and maintain compliance with company safety requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory.
- Participate in facility improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate hand and power tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform the stated physical requirements.
- Ability to work the regular schedule and occasional adjusted hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous facilities, industrial construction, or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Basic exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or welding, or preventative maintenance.
- Technical or trade school education.
- Experience using CMMS software.
- Forklift certification, OSHA or related safety credentials. Training available.
- Ability to work the regular schedule and occasional adjusted hours.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work indoors or outdoors.
- Safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, varying temperatures, and outdoor conditions. Required PPE must be worn at all times.
