Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, or hip-hop
- Lead lively and motivating dance classes that promote technique, creativity, and enjoyment
- Develop choreography for performances, recitals, or showcases that highlight student progress and artistic expression
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth
- Organize and supervise rehearsals for upcoming performances or events
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop special programs such as youth arts initiatives or adult dance workshops
Experience
- Proven experience teaching visual and performing arts, with a focus on dance instruction across diverse age groups
- Strong background in choreography, lesson planning, and curriculum development for dance disciplines
- Experience working with children, youth programs, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies in educational environments
