Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This dynamic role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to provide guests with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding tasks, and mechanical components swiftly and efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Operate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, providing guidance on safety procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies during all maintenance activities while maintaining high standards of customer service for guests and staff.
Skills
- Extensive electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge spanning HVAC systems, plumbing, welding techniques, and general building systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Strong supervisory skills with previous supervising experience in facilities or manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with team members and vendors.
- Experience with CMMS software for efficient maintenance management.
- Ability to perform residential painting and other finishing tasks as needed.
