Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective sanitation while adhering to OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain floors through proper care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning as needed.
- Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure availability at all times.
- Follow environmental services protocols to promote eco-friendly cleaning practices.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or healthcare settings preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet maintenance.
- Strong understanding of environmental services best practices for health and safety compliance.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and extractors safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
