Responsibilities
- Properly clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces, ensuring an organized workspace
- Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and breakdown
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly during service to ensure a smooth flow for guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food service and uphold high standards of hospitality
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of basic food handling, cleaning procedures, and kitchen safety protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during busy shifts
- Experience with catering or banquet setups is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques such as chopping, portioning, or basic cooking is advantageous
