We are seeking experienced and dependable Class A CDL Drivers to join our team in Stockton, CA. This position involves multi-stop retail deliveries throughout the assigned service area.
The ideal candidate has a strong safety record, excellent communication skills, and experience making multiple retail or customer deliveries while maintaining accurate documentation and on-time service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, state, and company requirements.
- Complete required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Perform multi-stop retail delivery routes safely and efficiently.
- Verify freight and delivery information at each stop.
- Follow customer-specific delivery, check-in, unloading, and proof-of-delivery procedures.
- Maintain freight integrity and report shortages, overages, damages, or delivery exceptions.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, access issues, delivery exceptions, or equipment concerns.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at retail locations.
- Complete bills of lading, delivery receipts, PODs, inspection records, and other required documentation.
- Properly secure freight and operate load-handling equipment as required.
- Maintain the tractor and trailer in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
- Immediately report accidents, equipment defects, cargo damage, or safety concerns.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch, warehouse teams, supervisors, and customers.
Requirements
Must Have:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of recent Class A commercial driving experience
- Current DOT Medical Certification
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to meet applicable DOT/FMCSA and company qualification requirements
- Experience with safe commercial vehicle operation
- Ability to complete multi-stop routes while maintaining schedules and delivery accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to complete transportation and delivery paperwork accurately
- Ability to work varying schedules based on customer and operational needs
Preferred Experience
- Retail store delivery
- Multi-stop or dedicated delivery routes
- Final-mile or distribution experience
- Northern California or Bay Area driving experience
- Electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Mobile proof-of-delivery systems
- Retail receiving and delivery procedures
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Enter and exit commercial vehicles repeatedly
- Sit and drive for extended periods
- Walk, stand, bend, reach, push, and pull
- Perform physical activities associated with commercial driving and retail deliveries
- Work safely in varying weather, traffic, warehouse, yard, and customer-site conditions
Compensation & Benefits
$28.00–$31.00/hour, based on experience
