Earthworks, Inc is looking for additional help in our design/drafting department as well as doing material take-off and estimation of projects. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Computer Aided Design or Construction related field, with experience using AutoCAD software and 2 years of experience in estimating or construction management.
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position
- Creates design drawings meeting product specifications to support engineering sales efforts
- Creates shop drawings. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and enter into computer estimating system;
- Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
- Ability to identify and meet customers’ needs expectations and requirements
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
- Must have strong communications skills as you will be engaged with the clients, the A&D community, general contractors, and our sales reps from each region.

Experience:
- Job Shop Work: 2 years Preferred
- Over all CAD Design/Drawing/Detailing: 2 years Preferred
- Industrial Job Shop Custom Manufacturing: 1 year Preferred
- Estimating, 2 years Preferred
