Employnet is now hiring a Machinist in the North Austin area 78754.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and technical drawings.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and program adjustments.
- Monitor machining operations and inspect parts for precision and quality.
- Calculate speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Perform preventive maintenance and support continuous improvement.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating 5-axis CNC mills or lathes.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.
- Experience with metals and plastics machining.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and CNC systems).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay Rate: $21 -$27/Hr DOE
Shift: 2nd 4:50pm - 2:30am
