Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning duties across designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in optimal condition.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling safety procedures and maintaining accurate documentation of chemical use.
- Conduct custodial tasks with precision, including restroom sanitation, window cleaning, and surface disinfecting to promote a healthy environment.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, heavy lifting using safe lifting practices, and supporting general upkeep activities.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and ensuring all areas meet client expectations for cleanliness and hygiene.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning processes.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial tools.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Prior experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required.
