Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by preparing daily specials and seasonal offerings that meet safety and quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, slicers, and mixers safely and efficiently.
- Follow strict food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Support meal preparation for various service periods, including breakfast, lunch, and catering events.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to uphold safety standards in production.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques are essential for efficient food prep.
- Familiarity with food safety management principles and adherence to safety standards in production.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high-quality presentation standards.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with kitchen staff and management.
- Culinary experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food industry best practices is desirable.
