Lakehaven Water and Sewer District has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in our Wastewater Operations Department. Applications will be accepted for any level in the position range shown below.

A Lakehaven Wastewater Operations Maintenance Technician performs and/or assists with minor and major maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment and construction of supporting structures used in the wastewater treatment plants operated by the District. Experience operating heavy equipment is highly desired. Wastewater Ops Maintenance Technicians also work closely with Wastewater Operators and learn basic operator tasks. Position placement and pay is dependent upon experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate should have some of the following:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in related equipment and/or facility maintenance preferred.
- A valid Washington State “Cross-Connection Control Specialist (CCS)” certification, desired but not required.
- Any certifications or licenses applicable to the utility; i.e. CPR/First Aid Training, Certified Flagging, Confined Space Entry, etc. must be obtained within one (1) year of initial employment.
- A valid Washington State Competency certificate “Group I – OIT” as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator must be obtained within one (1) year from initial employment.
- ABC Board of Examination Maintenance Technician 1 certification within two (2) years of hiring.
- Commercial Driver’s License desired but not required at time of hire.
