Must have Skills if any: Experience with Open Roads software and working knowledge of FDOT standards / specs
Qualifications
Technical roadway design skills, including geometric design, typical sections, cross sections, and understanding of transportation engineering standards.
Experience with civil design software such as Micro Station, AutoCAD, and roadway design platforms (e.g., OpenRoads or similar tools).
Knowledge of FDOT or comparable state DOT design criteria, manuals, and production standards, along with familiarity with traffic, drainage, and ITS coordination.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including capacity to interpret engineering data, perform calculations, and maintain accurate documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, designers, and construction teams, and for preparing clear technical reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; EIT certification preferred, PE license in Florida or ability to obtain it is a plus.
Prior experience in roadway or transportation engineering, particularly with FDOT or municipal projects, is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Pay: $73,842.41 - $95,000.00 per year
