We pride ourselves on fast service without sacrificing quality, and we are looking for an energetic, organized Host / Expo to keep our front-of-house running seamlessly.
Position Summary
In this dual-focus role, you are the conductor of our dining room flow. You will act as the friendly first impression for our guests while playing a critical air-traffic controller role between our kitchen line and server staff. Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Management: Warmly greet guests, manage the waitlist, seat tables efficiently, and balance server rotation to ensure smooth dining room flow.
- Order Line Coordination: Review tickets as dishes finish, ensuring order accuracy, proper garnish, correct modifications, and temperature before items leave the kitchen.
- Service Pacing: Communicate continuously between back-of-house kitchen staff and front-of-house servers to keep ticket times tight and avoid bottlenecks.
- Food Delivery Support: Assist in running completed plates to tables promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Guest Relations: Handle phone inquiries, take-out orders, and guest questions with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Station Prep & Cleanliness: Keep the host stand and expo window clean, organized, fully stocked, and sanitized throughout service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1+ year of host, expeditor, or restaurant support experience preferred in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Clear, direct communication skills with the ability to maintain composure under peak rush pressure.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for food presentation, dish accuracy, and guest needs.
- Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs continuously throughout a full shift.
- Availability: Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and major neighborhood festival/holiday events (e.g., Feast of the Assumption).
