Duties
- Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on industrial and commercial sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and circuit testers to identify faults swiftly and accurately.
- Manage high-voltage electrical wiring projects while complying with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards and local electrical codes.
- Supervise junior electricians and handymen, providing guidance on safe work practices, technical procedures, and project timelines.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and OSHA safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee the use of power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment required for construction site electrical work, renovation projects, or system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems.
- Proven expertise in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Deep knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC regulations, NFPA 70 compliance standards, and blueprint reading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints accurately for installation or repair purposes.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems, industrial electrical systems, renovation projects, construction site work, and schematics interpretation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining strict safety procedures on-site.
- Familiarity with construction experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus to support diverse project needs.
