Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cashier/Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. This position involves handling cash, stocking shelves, and ensuring the store's overall tidiness.
Knowledge of Wine, Liquor, Beer is greatly valued.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
- Stock shelves with merchandise
- Ensure pricing is accurate
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Upsell products and promote special offers
Experience
Required:
- Proficiency in operating a cash register
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change
- Ability to stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
Preferred:
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering
- Knowledge of retail math principles
- Familiarity with sales techniques and upselling strategies
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
