Our Monroe Cold Smoked Facility is hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist! This position ensures that all company purchases, and expenditures are processed and paid in a timely and accurate manner. BONUS:
- After 60 days of employment - $500 bonus after an employee is here 60 days
- After 90 days of employment - Additional $500 bonus
- There is also a $500 bonus for successful referrals after they've completed 90 days
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sort, code, and match invoices with correct shipping documents.
- Set invoices up for payment.
- Process checks weekly.
- Prepare and process electronic wire transfers and payments.
- Collect and post monthly VISA statements.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Research customs charges and voucher them out.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Assist with month end closing.
- Process Consumer refunds bi-monthly.
- Research cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts.
- Process sales expense reports for payment.
- Process International payroll and expense reports.
- Scan invoices, PO’s, and other documents into department files.
- File for accounting, and A/P as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Respond to changes productively and handles duties as required.
- Assist with Commissions monthly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable experience.
- Minimum of six (6) months Accounts Receivable and collections experience preferred.
- Requires a detail oriented, self-starter with strong organizational and math and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be capable of working productively under heavy deadline pressure and with competing priorities, despite constant interruptions from telephones and staff.
- Must be proficient in Word and Excel and 10-key by touch.
