McCar Materials is hiring a Senior Level Construction Equipment Mechanic to support our growing operations. This is a field technician role working exclusively on a Komatsu heavy equipment fleet. If you are the mechanic others rely on for tough diagnostics and complex repairs, this position is built for you. You will work on an All-Komatsu Fleet and be the Go-To Mechanic. You will be provided a company service truck. Mechanic must supply their own tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Komatsu construction and quarry equipment
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on:
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical systems
- Diesel engines
- Powertrain components
- Respond to field service calls across job sites and quarries
- Perform PM services, inspections, and corrective repairs
- Accurately document repairs, parts usage, and service reports
- Communicate equipment status clearly with operations and management
Required Qualifications
- Senior-level experience working on heavy construction equipment
- High proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, engine, and powertrain systems
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Must provide own tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CDL preferred but not required
