Responsible for Guest Experience
- Greet each guest with a warm friendly and sincere manner. Always smile at guests and provide a warm welcome and fond farewell upon departure.
- Answer the phones and assist with answering guest’s questions in a courteous and gracious manor.
- Maintain communications with guests who are waiting for their table regarding their status. Communicate any long waits or unhappy guests to management.
- Escort each guest to their table.
- Offer and assist guests with any coats or bags and oversee coat check operations.
- Update all guest notes that are provided by managers and service staff and enter them into the reservation system.
- Create a memorable experience in a way that compels guests to return to the restaurant.
- Have a full understanding of Café Dior floor plan and seating charts.
Responsible for Reservations
- Assist in taking reservations and maximizing seatings with efficiency and finesse.
- Using the reservation system terminal, manage reservations, walk-ins and cancelations/ no-shows and be sure to maintain an accurate cover count.
- Update the floor plan regarding upcoming reservations, walk-ins and table requests. Communicate all necessary information to managers and service team.
- Monitor the floor and keep track of all table statuses accordingly. Update the reservation system and communicate to the manager or Maître D’ any information on slow tables, or upcoming reservations.
- Communicate cover counts, reservations, VIPs, guest notes and known allergies at pre-shift meetings.
- Complete all opening, mid and closing side works.
Responsible for Non-Service Restaurant Procedures
- Participate in daily pre-service meeting.
- Maintain a positive, gracious and friendly attitude while contributing to build a teamwork-based environment.
- Practice “internal hospitality”
- Follow the Café Dior uniform and grooming policy and take pride in your appearance.
