Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious CDL A Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured according to logistics cargo handling standards.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, maintaining adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines.
- Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or other specialized freight equipment.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle truck loading/unloading tasks efficiently.
- Skilled in using GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution across long-distance OTR routes.
- Experience with logistics cargo handling, including manual handling techniques and forklift operation when needed.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate deliveries and report issues accurately.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
