Physician Substitute - EMT, Paramedic, LPN ( Northside Miami )

Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt or Contract
Summary: Under the Center Manager, Medical Director and Quality Assurance Supervisor's supervision in compliance with the Hemarus Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and State/Federal regulation. The Physician Substitute has to ensure donor suitability and health, and product integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide quality customer service by responding to donor needs and expectations professionally and efficiently.
2. Maintain certification and annual re-certification requirements of the Hemarus Training program.
3. Perform vitals assessment.
4. Maintain all permanent files and records in an organized and efficient manner.
5. Proficient in advanced Hemarus donor/Unit management systems navigation and queries.
6. Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
7. Perform all duties and responsibilities of the Physician Substitute.
8. Train and perform venipunctures, pre screening vitals and laboratory process.
9. Approval of suitable plasmapheresis donors by taking a medical history and performing a physical examination on all donors in compliance with Hemarus Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), current state and federal guidelines.
10. Timely review of accumulated donor testing data to determine a donor’s continued suitability for plasmapheresis.
11. Provide appropriate medical treatment for donation reactions.
12. Provide confidential and informative counseling to disqualified donors.
13. Assist with management and administration of testing and follow up of employee exposures.
14. Communicate and submit timely reports as required by the center management and medical director.
15. Support center management in achieving quality and operational goals.
16. Administer all immunizations in compliance with established protocol.
17. Ensure concurrent, legible, and accurate documentation.
18. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner and report all equipment needed for repair.
19. Report all unsafe situations to the supervisor immediately.
20. Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
1. EMT-P, LPN, or RN licensure in the state the center is located (Licensure must be maintained).
2. Able to speak, read, and legibly write English.
3. Able to use a computer.
4. Certified as BMT.
5. CPR certified (certification must be maintained).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
