Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Powersports Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), snowmobiles, and golf carts. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle is serviced efficiently and to the highest standards, providing our customers with reliable performance and safety. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and engine system issues on various powersports vehicles.
- Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, electrical components, and other mechanical systems with precision.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and specialized diagnostic devices to complete repairs efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire installations, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components accurately while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending maintenance solutions tailored to each vehicle’s needs.
- Assist in inventory management by ordering parts and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for ongoing service excellence.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background within the powersports or automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of engine systems, suspension components, electrical diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with automotive engine system repair, diagnostics tools usage, welding, soldering, and suspension work.
- Familiarity with all-terrain vehicle repair and motorcycle operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on vehicles and conduct complex repairs such as brake repair or powertrain overhauls.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and electrical testing equipment for automotive diagnostics.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing mechanical tasks requiring manual dexterity over extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward sales of parts or additional services when appropriate.
