Job Summary
We are hiring a hands-on, customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our growing Mobility City of Acton team.
In this role, you will travel in a company van to customers’ homes and facilities to repair, maintain, deliver, and set up mobility equipment. You’ll work directly with seniors, veterans, and individuals who rely on this equipment to maintain their independence.
This is NOT an HVAC or heavy industrial role. It is best suited for someone who enjoys light mechanical repairs, problem-solving, and helping people.

What You’ll Do
- Drive a company van daily to customer homes and facilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mobility equipment
- Perform routine maintenance (battery replacement, adjustments, parts swaps)
- Deliver, assemble, and demonstrate equipment
- Educate customers on proper use and care
- Complete service documentation and work orders
- Maintain parts inventory and tools in your van
- Build trust and strong relationships with customers
(Field service roles typically involve installation, troubleshooting, repair, and customer education at client locations.)

Qualifications Required
- Mechanical aptitude (basic tools, repair, troubleshooting)
- Basic electrical or battery troubleshooting ability
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with DME / HME (home medical equipment)
- Experience with mobility equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, beds, lift chairs)
- Experience in:
- Appliance repair
- Equipment repair
- Small engine repair
- Assembly / installation

Compensation
- Salary: $45,000 – $55,000 per year (based on experience)
