Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. North Beach Restaurant is a recently reopened historic icon, bringing a modern fusion of old school San Francisco flare and contemporary Italian cuisine.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Floor Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, managing staff on the floor , and maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
* Experience with Toast, Opentable ideal
* Italian food and wine knowledge required
* Weekend and Night time availabilty required
Starting pay $45 an hour plus benefits
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to promote a positive work environment.
- Oversee POS systems and financial proceedures.
- Monitor inventory levels in coordination with leadership team and assist with inventory control to minimize waste and optimize supply usage.
- Foster relationships with guests to enhance their dining experience and address any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service during peak hours.
- Implement strategies with leadership to improve restaurant efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficient in financial management practices.
- Experience in food preparation and production within a casual dining environment.
- Knowledge of bar operations and beverage service standards.
- Strong skills in inventory control and management practices.
- Background in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills essential for managing a diverse team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
