Description:
As the electronics engineer you will be responsible for testing a variety of electronic equipment, system interconnect and cabling designs in support of the Test Support Products
You will participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, materiel procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance of cabling & interconnects for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multi-function integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy's Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.
As the electronics engineer you will mentor junior engineers, interface extensively with our customer, as well as, senior leadership. You will also create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of missile test systems, including data
review and trending
Develop requirements from subsystem specifications to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
Interface with suppliers, customer, and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk
solutions
Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design
and business teams, vendors and customers.
Technical oversight of subcontractor-supplied components and full-up testing systems
Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure
Provide professional recommendations to subcontractors & suppliers
Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites 25%, on average

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Advanced Degree from an accredited college in Software or Systems Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Knowledge and application of Systems Engineering processes and one or more Systems Integration functions including:
- System trade studies and/or System modeling
- Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
- System Integration, Test and/or Verification
- Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
- System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)
- US Citizen with Active secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of the Trident II D5LE Missile
Experience with software systems design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
Experience with test planning and execution, including development of test cases, test procedures, and test reports
Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
