Position Summary
The Family Resource Center Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and daily operation of the Family Resource Center within the Family Support Center of Ogden. This position provides leadership for family support services, parenting education, community outreach, and resource navigation while ensuring high-quality service delivery to families. The Coordinator supervises Family Advocates, interns, practicum students, and volunteers and works closely with the Executive Director to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that strengthen families and prevent child abuse.
Manage and Operate the Family Resource Center
- Oversee the daily operations of the Family Resource Center.
- Ensure the Resource Center provides a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for families.
- Coordinate resource distribution programs including diapers, hygiene items, food assistance, school supplies, and other family supports.
- Monitor service utilization and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and data collection for reporting and evaluation purposes.
- Ensure the Center remains organized, clean, and tour-ready at all times.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships that expand resources available to families.
2. Supervise Family Advocates, Interns, Practicum Students, and Volunteers
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate Family Advocates, interns, practicum students, and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure quality service delivery.
- Coordinate internship experiences with colleges and universities.
- Conduct regular supervision meetings and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain intern and volunteer documentation and schedules.
3. Coordinate Parenting Education Classes and Workshops
- Coordinate all parenting education classes, workshops, support groups, and family activities.
- Schedule classes and workshops to meet community needs.
- Manage registrations, attendance records, materials, and participant communications.
- Provide support and oversight to facilitators and educators.
- Ensure curriculum is delivered with fidelity and in accordance with evidence-based practices.
- Participate in program reviews and ensure client files remain complete and accurate.
- Facilitate classes and workshops as needed.
4. Provide Family Advocacy and Client Services
- Conduct client intake, assessments, screenings, and referrals.
- Assist families in identifying needs and accessing community resources.
- Develop service plans and follow-up support for participating families.
- Provide resource navigation, advocacy, and support services.
- Maintain accurate client documentation and case notes.
- Track participation and outcomes for grant reporting and program evaluation.
- Collaborate with community partners to coordinate services.
5. Community Outreach and Engagement
- Work collaboratively with the team to promote programs and services.
- Represent the Center at community meetings, events, and presentations.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and referral partners.
- Coordinate outreach efforts to increase awareness and participation in Family Resource Center services.
- Support fundraising events and special projects as assigned.
6. Program Evaluation, Compliance, and Reporting
- Collect and analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and outcomes.
- Prepare reports required by funding sources and agency leadership.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in site reviews, audits, and monitoring visits.
- Identify program needs and recommend improvements.
- Assist with strategic planning and program development initiatives.
7. Facility, Supplies, and Resource Management
- Monitor inventory of program, office, and family resource supplies.
- Follow purchasing and inventory procedures.
- Ensure resources are available and distributed according to program guidelines.
- Coordinate food, hygiene, and emergency assistance supplies.
- Report facility maintenance and safety concerns promptly.
8. Professional Development and Team Participation
- Attend staff meetings, leadership meetings, and supervisory meetings.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in family support, parenting education, child abuse prevention, and resource center operations.
- Communicate program needs, concerns, and successes to the Executive Director.
10. Other Duties
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Support agency-wide initiatives and strategic priorities.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
