Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to inventory management, order fulfillment, and overall distribution processes. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations while performing various warehouse tasks.
Duties
- Manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes for materials handling.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and packing.
- Assist in packaging products for shipment while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning.
- Participate in stocking shelves and organizing products within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Support manufacturing processes as needed, including order fulfillment and materials handling.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of warehouse distribution practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as AS400 is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment (forklift, reach truck, crane) is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of picking & packing procedures along with order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in inventory control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
