Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, educational games, and outdoor adventures.
- Develop age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate learning technology and innovative instructional strategies.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, ensuring an inclusive experience.
- Manage classroom dynamics by applying effective behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills.
- Foster a safe environment by enforcing safety protocols, supervising children during activities, and maintaining clear communication with team members.
- Assist with lesson planning and adapt instructional materials to meet individual learning styles and developmental stages.
- Collaborate with colleagues to organize special events, themed weeks, and community-building activities that enhance camper engagement.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as preschool, daycare, or summer camps is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored for early childhood education or elementary levels.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining a positive attitude and energetic approach.
- Knowledge of learning technology tools such as LMS (Learning Management Systems) or digital educational resources is advantageous.
