Salary range: $30,000.00 – $35,000.00
Join Puerto Rico Wire Products, Inc., an established company with over 70 years of experience in construction-related products and services. In this role you’ll keep our import/export pipeline moving — making sure orders arrive on time, at the right cost, so our customers’ projects stay on schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the daily order pipeline so nothing slips between purchase order and delivery.
- Partner with the Procurement / Import-Export Compliance Manager to clear any obstacle that could delay receipt of orders.
- Verify order confirmations against purchase order terms and conditions, and resolve discrepancies early.
- Stay ahead of suppliers throughout the order process to keep shipments on schedule.
- Solicit, compare, and help negotiate rates and terms with inland carriers and ocean freight forwarders to control landed cost and transit time.
- File AES and prepare Bill of Lading instructions accurately and on time.
- Keep the Sales department informed of order-receipt expectations.
- Track orders against deadlines and update customers on shipment status and any changes in transit.
What You Bring:
- 4+ years of experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, oral and written.
- U.S. Customs AES filing knowledge (required).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and effective follow-through.
- Customer-service mindset.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
