Why You'll Love This Role
As an Indirect Funding Specialist, you'll be at the center of our indirect lending operation, ensuring loans are funded accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. You'll collaborate with dealerships, underwriters, members, and internal teams to create seamless financing experiences that strengthen relationships and support Harborstone's mission.

What You'll Do
Funding & Loan Processing

Review, analyze, and process indirect loan applications with accuracy and efficiency.

Audit loan packages to ensure all required documentation is complete and compliant.

Verify income documentation and satisfy underwriting conditions.

Fund approved loans within established service-level standards.

Balance funding activities and generate necessary follow-up communications.

Maintain accurate filing and recordkeeping systems.
Dealer & Member Support

Serve as a primary point of contact for dealership partners.

Communicate with dealers and members to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding conditions.

Respond professionally and promptly to inquiries, funding delays, and loan-related concerns.

Build strong relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
Collaboration & Problem Solving

Partner with underwriters, branch staff, third-party vendors, and members to clear loan stipulations.

Research and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
-
Support organizational goals through teamwork, accountability, and member advocacy.

Participate in user testing and implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Recommend and help implement process improvements, policies, and procedures.

Stay current on industry regulations, lending practices, and technology solutions.
What You Bring
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.

Ability to calculate APRs, debt-to-income ratios, loan values, percentages, and related lending metrics.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred Experience
-
Three years of indirect loan processing or funding experience within a financial institution.

Experience with MeridianLink and/or Origence loan origination systems.
-
Additional financial services education or training.
-
Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, are a plus.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Additional education and professional development preferred.

Work Environment
