Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Title Processor to join our team. In this vital role, you will handle the accurate processing of title documentation, ensuring seamless coordination between various departments and external agencies. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth real estate transactions and uphold our commitment to excellence in financial services related to property titles.
The ideal candidate must be:
- Minimum of One Year Title Processing Experience
- Detail‑oriented
- Proficient in Qualia
- Capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment
- Able to work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Review and verify title documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and mortgage industry standards.
- Prepare, process, and update title reports, escrow instructions, and related contracts with precision.
- Collaborate closely with loan officers, underwriters, escrow officers, and legal teams to ensure all title information aligns with loan origination requirements.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis and review of property titles to identify potential issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other federal or state mortgage servicing laws.
- Maintain detailed records of all title processing activities, including 10-key typing entries and math calculations for escrow accounts.
- Support the loan processing team by providing timely updates on title status and assisting with mortgage documentation as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, or loan origination processes within the financial services or mortgage industry.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing, credit analysis, escrow procedures, and basic math skills required for accurate calculations.
- Familiarity with TILA regulations, contracts management, banking operations, and Fair Housing laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review complex documents thoroughly.
- Proficiency in 10-key typing, math skills, and computer software relevant to loan processing tasks.
- Prior experience as a loan officer or in a role involving mortgage or real estate transactions is highly desirable.
